The IRI WOMANS ACADEMY program was designed and developed as a gap year for young female rugby players between the ages of 18 and 25.
The need for such a program was identified after 30 years of rugby development in South Africa and internationally.
Female rugby is currently a global sport across the world and turned professional in countries such as England, Ireland, Australia, Canada & Neu-Zealand. South Africa are currently the world champions in the men's game but are lacking behind when it comes to player development of the woman's game.
We at the International Rugby Institute(South-Africa) have designed a High-Performance Academy program woman that would like to give themselves the best opportunity possible to develop their skill sets to ensure they get exposure at various levels.
The program uses the same template that we use for our men's program that has produced various professional players in the last 7 years.
The focus of the woman's program is to develop players, referees and coaches that is in big demand for the growth of the game.
Our life skills program focus on the following topics in a year:
• Emotional Intelligence
• Inner Strength(how to handle pressure)
• Leadership Development
• Character Development
• Relationships
• Life orientation
• Financial guidance
• Career guidance
Our Woman's program consists of the following components:
